DESIGN GUIDELINES FOR THERAPEUTIC GARDENS IN SINGAPORENParks’ Publication The Therapeutic Garden @ HortPark is the prototype for the network of therapeutic gardens in Singapore. Developed based on best practices and evidence-based design principles relating to therapy for improving mental well-being, it provides respite for visitors of all ages and incorporates design elements and user-friendly features to meet the needs of the elderly, including those with conditions such as dementia. Since its launch in May 2016, there has been a growing interest to incorporate such therapeutic environments outside of park settings. This guide puts together the basic characteristics of therapeutic gardens and aims to be a useful resource for the design of future therapeutic landscapes in Singapore, particularly for the elderly and people with dementia. 01DESIGN GUIDELINES FORTHERAPEUTIC GARDENS IN SINGAPORE02DESIGN GUIDELINES FORTHERAPEUTIC GARDENS IN SINGAPOREDESIGN GUIDELINES FOR THERAPEUTIC GARDEN...
