Filing Taxes with Youth As we learn more about these economic stimulus checks that are coming our way, there are some things that we can do to help prepare our youth to receive this money. 1. Strongly encourage youth to file a simple tax return this year. This is also known as a 1040EZ. Almost all of the major tax filing software companies (Turbo Tax, H&R Block, etc.) allow you to file a 1040EZ for free. Below is a link to free filing resources from the IRS.
