InternalControlsforPayrollFunction8400TheAssistantSuperintendentforBusinessand/ortheFinanceDirectorshallhavetheprimaryresponsibilityforthepayrollfunctionandtheimplementationofinternalcontrolsthatadequatelysecureandsafeguardpayrollresources.ThedailyoperationoftheinternalcontrolsnecessarytosecureandsafeguardthepayrollresourcesshallbedelegatedtotheBusinessManagerwhoshallreportdirectlytotheAssistantSuperintendentforBusinessand/ortheFinanceDirectorofanyrecognizeddeficiencyinanyinternalcontrolproceduresrelatedtothepayrollfunctionoftheBOCESBusinessOffice.Inprovidingacheckandbalancesystemwithinthepayrollfunction,theAssistantSuperintendentforBusinessand/ortheFinanceDirectorshalldoaperiodiccheckofthedailyoperationoftheinternalcontrolstoensurecompliance.Withinthepayrollfunction,BOCESBusinessmanagementshallevaluatethedesignofitspayrollfunctionandimplementcontrolsandprocedurestoadequatelyprotectitspayrollresourcesincludingbutnotlimitedtosegregatingpayrollprocessingdutiesfrompayrollpaymentdistributi...
