Managing Intellectual Property News MIP awards winners revealed Awards were presented to winners in 46 categories at MIP's second annual IP awards dinner at Claridge's in London last night. Baker & McKenzie received two accolades – for leading firm in Russia and leading foreign firm in China. The award for leading law firm in Europe went to Bird & Bird. Gevers & Partners won an award for trade mark filing in Europe, and Zacco won an award for patent filing. Awards were made to the leading firms in 35 jurisdictions, with two awards in Canada and the UK and four in the US. In addition, the award for IP case of the year was presented to US firms Sidley Austin and Skadden, who acted for eBay in its dispute with MercExchange, which went to the US Supreme Court. The in-house team of the year award was presented to Google and the outstanding achievement award to Tove Graulund, formerly head of IP at Arla Foods and chair of trade mark owners' organization MARQUES.
