NEWS RELEASE SOME 300,000 VISITORS AT SINGAPORE GARDEN FESTIVAL Singapore, 1 August 2008 – Singapore Garden Festival (SGF) closes at 10pm today with record numbers of visitorship represented at the eight-day event, organised by the National Parks Board (NParks). In all, there was about 300,000 visitors to the Festival with an estimated 30% coming from overseas countries such as Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the United Kingdom. This is the biennial Festival’s second run, the first being in 2006, which saw 200,000 visitors over a 10-day period. Singapore Garden Festival is the only event in the world to bring together a wide international range of top award-winning designers to showcase their garden and floral creations all under one roof.
